Spicy Meatball

  1. In a bowl combine the cumin, hot sauce, onion, tomato paste, oregano, and mint.
  2. Add the ground pork, egg and bread crumbs.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Roll the meat mixture into balls, using about 1 heaping tablespoon of the mixture to make each ball.
  5. This makes about 20 meatballs.
  6. Preheat the oven to 400F.
  7. Heat a large saute pan over medium-high heat.
  8. Add one tablespoon of oil.
  9. Once hot, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan, saute the meatballs until well browned, about 3 minutes on each side.
  10. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake until cooked through, about 8 minutes, or add to a pot of your favorite sauce and simmer until cooked through.
