Granola Coffee Ring

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Grease and flour 10-inch angel food cake (tube) pan or 12-cup Bundt pan; set aside.
  3. Combine all filling ingredients in bowl; set aside.
  4. Combine granola cereal and sour cream in another bowl; let stand 5 minutes to soften cereal.
  5. Add butter; beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
  6. Add sugar, eggs and orange zest; continue beating until well mixed.
  7. (Mixture will be slightly lumpy.)
  8. Add all remaining cake ingredients; continue beating until well mixed.
  9. Spoon half of cake batter into prepared pan.
  10. Sprinkle with filling.
  11. Spoon remaining batter over filling.
  12. Bake 45-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  13. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan.
  14. Cool completely.
  15. Melt 1/2 cup butterscotch chips and shortening in 1-quart saucepan.
  16. Immediately drizzle over cooled cake; sprinkle with 2 tablespoons nuts.
