Beef Sauerkraut Skillet Recipe
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 2 lg. potatoes, peeled & thinly sliced
- 1 pound grnd chuck beef
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional)
- 1 (14 ounce.) can sauerkraut
- 1 med. onion, minced
- 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- Salt & pepper
- Heat butter in 10" skillet.
- Spread sauerkraut with liquid proportionately in skillet.
- Sprinkle caraway seeds if used.
- Arrange potato slices over sauerkraut.
- Sprinkle with onion.
- Top with meat and season with salt and pepper.
- Pour tomato sauce over meat.
- Cover and simmer for 45 min or possibly 1 hour.
- 4 servings.
