Honey Whole Wheat Rolls Recipe
- 4 c. lowfat milk, warmed
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 1/2 c. shortening or possibly veg. oil
- 3/4 c. honey
- 2 tbsp. salt
- 2 tbsp. dry yeast
- 2 Large eggs
- 9 c. whole wheat flour
- Combine lowfat milk, water, shortening, honey, salt and Large eggs in mixer.
- Add in 5 c. whole wheat flour and mix till well blended.
- Add in dry yeast and blend again.
- Add in 4 c. of remaining whole wheat flour and knead 10 min.
- Put dough in large bowl.
- Cover with kitchen towel till double in bulk.
- Roll out 1/2 inch thick on floured board.
- Cut with round cutter.
- Let rise till double in bulk.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min.
