Bread And Butter Pickles (Zucchini) Recipe

  1. Don't pare squash.
  2. Slice thin.
  3. Add in onions, peppers, whole garlic and add in salt.
  4. Cover with cracked ice, mix thoroughly.
  5. Let stand 3 hrs.
  6. Drain thoroughly.
  7. Combine sugar, turmeric, celery seed, mustard seed and vinegar.
  8. Pour over squash mix and heat just to boil.
  9. Seal in warm sterilized jars.
  10. Makes 8 pints.
