Plum Jelly Recipe

  1. Add in Sure-jell to juice and water and bring to rolling boil.
  2. Add in 1 tsp.
  3. butter.
  4. Add in all of sugar and bring back to rolling boil, stirring constantly.
  5. Boil for 1 minute and remove from heat.
  6. Skim and pour in jars and seal.
  7. 4 or possibly 5 pints.
  8. To extract juice: Wash plums.
  9. Just cover with water and boil till skins pop and fruit is soft.
  10. Remove from heat and let cold.
  11. Strain through jelly bag or possibly cheesecloth.
