Killer Kale
- 1 bunch kale
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 slices bacon
- 12 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 12 cups chicken stock
- salt and pepper
- PREPARATION:.
- Rinse greens.
- Cut into strips.
- Boil in salted water for 6 minutes.
- Drain in colander.
- While greens are boiling, cook bacon, remove from skillet.
- Saute onions and garlic in bacon drippings until onion is lightly browned.
- Place greens, onion & garlic, crumbled bacon, pepper flakes and chicken stock in crock pot.
- Cook on high 4 hours or until greens are tender.
