Czechoslovakian Apricot Bars Recipe

  1. Cream together butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
  2. Add in one egg yolk at a time, beating well!
  3. Add in gradually the sifted flour.
  4. With floured hands, pat 1/2 the dough into a well greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan Spread the apricot jelly over the dough.
  5. You can use different kinds of preserves at each end if you prefer - such as raspberry.
  6. Sprinkle flaked coconut over this.
  7. Pat remaining dough over this mix in the pan.
  8. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 min and lightly browned.
  9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  10. Let cold.
  11. Cut into bars.
