Apple Cinnamon Pancakes

  1. Heat lightly greased electric griddle to 350F.
  2. Cut apples into quarters; core.
  3. Finely chop half of 1 apple.
  4. Thinly slice remaining apple; set aside.
  5. Combine flour, sugar and baking powder in bowl; stir until well mixed.
  6. Add all remaining pancake ingredients; beat at low speed until well mixed.
  7. Stir in chopped apple.
  8. Drop 1/4 cupfuls of batter onto griddle; spread to 4 inches.
  9. Cook 2-4 minutes or until tops are bubbly.
  10. Turn pancakes; continue cooking 1-2 minutes or until cooked through.
  11. Melt 2 tablespoons Cinnamon Sugar Butter Spread in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat; add sliced apples.
  12. Cook, stirring occasionally, 8-10 minutes or until apples are crisply tender.
  13. Remove from heat; stir in syrup.
  14. Serve topping over hot pancakes.
  15. *Substitute 2 teaspoons vinegar or lemon juice and enough milk to equal 3/4 cup; let stand 5 minutes.
