Nagaimo Yam and Tofu Bake

  1. Grate the nagaimo yam into a bowl and add the tofu chopped into large bite-size pieces.
  2. Add shiro-dashi and mayonnaise and mix.
  3. Try not to break up the tofu too much.
  4. Put the mixture from Step 1 into a heatproof dish, sprinkle cheese on top and bake in an oven preheated to 355 degrees F/180 degrees C (on the top rack).
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes.
