Meatless Split Green Pea Soup Recipe
- 1/2 pound green split peas
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 2 carrots, cut in very sm. pcs
- 2 stalks celery, minced
- 1 toe garlic, minced
- 1 bay leaf (opt.)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 cubes chicken bouillon
- Wash and sort peas.
- Place in pan and cover with water.
- Soak overnight if possible.
- In morning, add in remaining ingredients.
- Add in water to barely cover.
- Cook in pressure cooker 20 min.
- Can be cooked in ordinary pan for approximately 2 1/2 hrs, stirring occasionally and adding more water if necessary.
