BLT Bouquet
- 1 lb bacon
- 20 cherry tomatoes
- watercress (or small edible leaves such as spinach)
- skewer
- toothpick
- Roll each rasher of bacon into a "rose" shape and skewer it with a toothpick.
- Place it with a flat side down on an ovenproof tray with drainage for the fat and cook at 350 for about 45 minutes (you have to watch it to see when it looks crisp and cooked, the centre will not be crisp).
- When the "roses" have cooled, take a skewer and put a cherry tomato on it about an inch from the sharp tip.
- Carefully skewer 2 leaves of lettuce to make the rose of the leaves and then add the bacon "rose" with the uneven side up on the top.
- Place in a vase and serve with dip such as ranch dressing.
