Alaska Halibut Chowder Recipe

  1. Remove skin and bones from halibut; cut into bite-sized pcs.
  2. Saute/fry vegetables in 3 Tbsp.
  3. butter.
  4. Add in halibut, chicken broth, salt and pepper.
  5. Simmer, covered for 5 min.
  6. Add in lowfat milk and heat gently.
  7. Combine remaining 3 Tbsp.
  8. butter with flour and add in to chowder.
  9. Cook and stir till slightly thickened.
  10. Add in cheese; cook and stir over low heat till cheese melts.
  11. Sprinkle with parsley.
  12. This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
