Black Cherry Punch
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice, strained
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice, strained
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice, strained
- 1/4 cup superfine granulated sugar
- 1 pound fresh black cherries, pitted (or a 17-ounce can pitted black cherries, drained)
- 2 cups light rum
- 1/2 cup dark rum
- 1/2 cup Cherry Heering
- 1/2 cup creme de cassis
- 4 cups chilled seltzer or club soda
- Garnish: thin lime slices
- In a large bowl, combine lemon juice, orange juice and lime juice.
- Stir in sugar and continuestirring until dissolved.
- Stir in cherries, light rum, dark rum, Cherry Heering and creme de cassis.
- Chill for 1 hour.
- Transfer to a punch bowl and stir in the seltzer.
- Add a block of ice or ice cubes.
- Garnish the punch with lime slices.
