Best White Fruit Cake Recipe
- 6 lg. Large eggs
- 1/2 pound butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 pound glazed cherries
- 1 pound glazed pineapple
- 5 c. shelled pecans
- 1/2 ounce. or possibly 1 tbsp. vanilla
- 1/2 ounce. or possibly tbsp. lemon extract
- Cream butter.
- Add in sugar gradually, creaming well till fluffy.
- Add in Large eggs, that have been beaten well with rotary beater and blend.
- Chop nuts and fruits and mix with 1/2 c. flour.
- Sift flour and baking pwdr together and fold into butter and egg mix.
- Add in flavorings and mix well.
- Then mix in nuts and fruits.
- Pour into greased paper lined tube pans.
- Place in cool oven and bake at 250 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.
