Sausage And Peppers D'italiano Recipe
- 1 pound Italian sausage, cut into chunks
- 2 tbsp. water
- 2 lg. green peppers, cut into 3/4 inch strips
- 1 med. onion, sliced and separated into rings
- 2 cloves, chopped
- 1 can Campbell's zesty tomato soup-sauce
- 1 c. water
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 bag UNCLE BEN'S® boil- bag rice (family size) or possibly cooked rice
- In covered skilled over medium heat, cook sausage in 2 Tbsp.
- water for 5 min.
- Uncover, cook till sausage is browned on all sides.
- Add in green peppers, onion and garlic to sausage in skillet.
- Cook till peppers are tender crisp, stirring frequently.
- Spoon off fat, stir in soup and c. water and vinegar.
- Reduce heat to low.
- Cover and simmer 10 min.
- Meantime, cook rice according to directions and serve over rice.
