Danish Red Cabbage

  1. Heat butter in large saucepan; saute onion and apples for 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. Add water, vinegar and seasonings; bring to a boil and add cabbage.
  3. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes, or until tender.
  4. Use a slotted spoon to serve.
