Black Walnut Loaf

  1. Beat eggs and sugar.
  2. Add milk and blend well.
  3. Sift flour with salt and baking powder and add inches When blended, stir in nuts.
  4. Pour into greased loaf pan.
  5. Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 1 hour.
  6. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then turn out onto a rack to cool completely.
  7. Meanwhile, whisk confectioner's sugar with milk, salt and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Pour over cooled loaf.
