Easter Cookies Recipe

  2. Sift together the flour, baking pwdr and salt onto wax paper.

  4. Beat together the butter and sugar in a large bowl till smooth.
  5. Beat in the egg, orange rind and juice.
  6. 3.
  7. Add in the flour mix, a third at a time, stirring well.
  8. 4.
  9. Shape the dough into a bowl; flatten slightly.
  10. Wrap in plastic wrap.
  11. Chill for several hrs or possibly overnight.
  12. 5.
  13. To bake the cookies preheat the oven to moderate (350 degrees).
  14. 6.
  15. Roll out half the dough on a lightly floured surface to a 1/8 inch thickness.
  16. Cut into bunny, chick or possibly flower shapes with 3-3 1/2 inch cutters.
  17. Place on 2 large lightly greased cookie sheets.
  18. Repeat with the other half of dough.
  19. 7.
  20. Bake at 350 degrees for 7-8 min or possibly till light golden brown around the edges, the cookie shouldn't brown.
  21. Remove to wire racks with metal spatula.
  22. Cold completely.
  23. Frost and decorate with the Decorating Frosting.
