Great Grandma's Turkey Stuffing Recipe
- 1/2 pound bacon
- 1 lg. pkg. stuffing
- 4 stalks celery
- 1 med. onion
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- Parsley
- Thyme
- Salt and pepper
- Fry bacon (drain off 1/2 of drippings if extra fatty).
- Add in celery, onions and seasonings to taste.
- Saute/fry till onions are clear.
- In large bowl, mix together package of stuffing, 1 egg and lowfat milk.
- Stir in bacon/onion/celery mix.
- Stuff into turkey (not too tight).
- Bake remainder in glass casserole dish, 1 hour covered.
- Remove to brown top if you like about 20 min before serving.
- (Dot with butter for a brown crust.)
