Tostachos
- 1/2 cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing, divided
- 2 green plantains, peeled, cut into 24 (1/4-inch-thick) slices (about 1-1/2 lb.)
- 1/2 cup refried black beans
- 4 jalapeno peppers, thinly sliced
- 1 large tomato, seeded, chopped
- 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1/2 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Heat 2 Tbsp.
- of the dressing in large skillet on medium heat.
- Add plantains, a few at a time; cook 3 min.
- on each side.
- Remove from skillet; flatten with rolling pin or other hard flat surface.
- Using 1 Tbsp.
- of the remaining dressing at a time, cook flattened plantains in skillet 1 to 2 min.
- or until golden brown.
- Place plantains on baking sheet.
- Spoon 1 tsp.
- beans on each; top with peppers and tomatoes.
- Sprinkle evenly with cheese.
- Bake 5 min.
- or broil, 3 to 5 inches from heat source, 3 min.
- or until cheese melts.
- Top evenly with sour cream.
- Serve immediately.
