Smoky Quiche Recipe
- 1 unbaked pie shell
- 1 pound bacon, cut into 1/2 inch strips
- 1/4 c. minced green onion
- 1 c. smokey cheddar cheese, grated
- 6 Large eggs, beaten
- 1 c. cream">whipping cream or possibly lowfat sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash of Tabasco sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- Prick bottom and sides of pie shell, bake at 450 degrees for 6 min.
- Saute/fry bacon and onion in skillet till brown.
- Drain well.
- Sprinkle proportionately in pie shell.
- Sprinkle on a layer of cheese.
- Set aside.
- Combine Large eggs, cream, salt, pepper, nutmeg, mixing well.
- Pour over cheese layer.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 50 min.
