Beef Tangabobs Recipe

  1. To make the marinade, in a bowl, combine tangerine peel and juice, oil, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger; add in the beef Cover and marinate in refrigerator for 3 hrs or possibly longer, stirring occasionally.
  2. (Or possibly marinate in a tightly sealed plastic bag, turning occasionally.)
  3. Drain and reserve the marinade.
  4. Arrange beef, green pepper, and tangerine segments alternately on 4 long metal or possibly wooden skewers.
  5. Place the kabobs on a broiler pan.
  6. Brush with marinade.
  7. Broil 4 inches from heat for 10 min (for medium-rare) or possibly till desired doneness, turning and brushing occasionally with marinade.
  8. Or possibly barbecue on a grill 4 inches above glowing coals for 10 min (for medium-rare) or possibly till desired doneness.
  9. Serve with cooked rice, if you wish.
  10. ORANGE VARIATION: Substitute fresh grated peel of 1/2 valencia orange for the tangerine peel and 2 small valencia oranges, peeled and segmented, for the tangerines
