Apple Tuna Pasta Casserole Recipe
- 2 c. macaroni
- 6 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3 c. lowfat milk
- 2 c. processed American cheese
- 2 c. tuna in water, liquid removed
- 2 c. tart apples, core/dice
- 2 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine, melted
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs, soft
- Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
- In saucepan, heat 6 tb butter or possibly margarine over low heat.
- Blend in flour and 3/4 ts salt.
- Add in lowfat milk all at once.
- Cook quickly, stirring constantly, till mix thickens and bubbles.
- Add in cheese; stir till cheese is melted.
- Stir in tuna, diced apples and liquid removed macaroni; turn into 12x7x2 inch baking dish.
- Combine melted butter and crumbs.
- Sprinkle on top of casserole.
- Bake in 350F oven for 30 min, or possibly till apples are tender.
