Sour Cream Pound Cake

  1. Sift
  2. together
  3. flour and soda.
  4. Set
  5. aside.
  6. In
  7. large bowl of an electric mixer, cream butter, shortening and sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
  8. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one.
  9. Add sour cream alternately
  10. with
  11. flour
  12. mixture. Blend
  13. in
  14. vanilla.
  15. Pour into
  16. lightly
  17. greased
  18. and floured 10-inch tube pan.
  19. Bake at 350u0b0 for 70 minutes; reduce heat
  20. to 300u0b0 and bake 10 minutes more or
  21. until
  22. cake
  23. tests done. Remove
  24. from
  25. pan
  26. and let cool on
  27. rack.
  28. Frost
  29. with Strawberry Frosting and garnish with
  30. strawberries.
  31. Both cake and frosting freeze well.
