Sandra's Apple Butter
- 5 quarts (4725 ml) of apple sauce(fresh is best)
- 5 cups (1175 ml) sugar
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) vinegar
- 3 tsp (15 ml) cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml) cloves
- 2 tsp (10 ml) allspice
- Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and boil down til thickened or bake 225 degrees (100 C.) for 3 hours.
- Mixture will be thick and brown.
- Seal in jars with a 5 minute water bath.
