Homemade Condensed Milk
- 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk 1 can, 370ml
- 1 1/4 cups sugar white sugar
- In a medium saucepan, add evaporated milk and sugar, stirring constantly, and bring to a boil.
- Allow to boil for about 15 minutes until mixture is thickened, stirring constantly in this whole process to prevent from burning on the bottom.
- Remove from heat and ready to use in your recipe.
- Note: I actually boiled it for about 30 minutes until it became slightly caramelized, then I used it right away while it was still hot.
- I got about 1 cup of condensed milk.
- If you do not use it right after you make it, it will be harden when it cools down.
- So later you need to reheat it, when you prepare to use this homemade condensed milk in your dessert.
