Chocolate Heath Bar Muffins

  1. Preheat oven to 400*F.
  2. Grease the bottoms only of 12 standard-size muffin cups, or line with paper liners.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the milk, oil and egg.
  4. Whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; add to milk mixture just until combined.
  5. Do not overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the Heath bars.
  7. Spoon batter into the prepared muffin tins--the cups will be full; bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick tests out clean.
  8. Immediately remove muffins from the tins; serve warm, or cool completely.
