SAUTED SHRIMP AND ONION
- 20 raw large or jumbo shrimp..... peel off shell once thawed
- 1/4 tsp season salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic minced.... 1/4 tsp powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper... optional
- 1 stick unsalted butter.... use your own judgement we love butter
- 1 tbsp parsley
- 1 medium onion diced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 6 cup water
- 1 lb linquini pasta
- defrost shrimp in shallow pan with water.
- put pasta on to boil in water with salt and a splash of olive oil
- once the shrimp or prawn are thawed sprinkle with season salt, pepper, garlic, cayenne pepper
- melt butter and diced onions while melting... we love onion so we use a Med or large
- add parsley and diced onion... cook onion in butter on Med heat until onion is partially tender...
- add shrimp to skillet.
- cook about 8 minutes and then turn over ... let cook until pink... 5 minutes
- when pasta is done drain in colander.... poor shrimp, butter over pasta and mix well.
