Prosecco and Scotch Whiskey Julep

  1. In an ice-filled pitcher, mix together the Mint Simple Syrup, whiskey and 5 mint sprigs.
  2. Slowly pour in the prosecco and mix.
  3. Pour into glasses and garnish with mint sprigs
  4. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, 1/2 cup water and mint leaves over medium heat.
  5. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer until the sugar has dissolved, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the syrup to cool for 20 minutes.
  7. Strain before using.
  8. Yield: 1 cup.
