Just Like a High-Class Chinese Restaurant Jumbo-Sized Meatballs
- 300 grams Ground pork
- 1/2 Whole egg
- 1 tsp Grated ginger
- 1 Krazy Salt or seasoned salt
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Sake (shaoxing wine available)
- 1 tbsp Katakuriko
- 4 tbsp Sugar
- 4 tbsp Black vinegar (or grain vinegar)
- 5 tbsp Tomato ketchup
- 2 1/2 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 heaping teaspoon Katakuriko
- Combine the ingredients in a pan and cook over low heat while stirring constantly until thickened.
- Knead the ground pork with your hands until it's sticky, then add the ingredients and knead some more.
- Roll the meat mixture into large meatballs, and deep fry in 320F/160C oil.
- Drain off the excess oil on paper towels, and coat the meatballs in the sauce.
- Done.
