M & M Festive Caramel Bars Recipe

  1. Combine caramels and lowfat milk in heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, till caramels are melted and mix is well blended.
  2. Combine flour, oats, nuts, sugar, soda and salt; add in butter, mixing till mix resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Reserve 1 c.; press remaining mix onto bottom of greased 13"x9" baking pan.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 min.
  5. Sprinkle 1 c. candies over partially baked crust; add in remaining candies.
  6. Continue baking 20 to 25 min or possibly till golden.
  7. Cold slightly; refrigerate3 min.
  8. Cut into bars.
