Salmon Puffs

  1. Heat about 2 inches of oil in a heavy pot or cast iron skillet to about 350 degrees.
  2. Mix cream cheese and salmon together and place a teaspoonful on a wonton wrapper.
  3. Dip your finger in a little water and wet all edges of the wrapper.
  4. Fold in half to make a triangle, sealing edges and then fold two corners together, meeting in the middle.
  5. Repeat with remaining filling.
  6. Fry a few puffs at a time until lightly browned.
  7. Remove to drain on a paper-towel-lined plate.
  8. Serve hot or at room temperature.
