Yakiniku Beef Salad (with Sauce)
- 300 grams Thinly sliced beef
- 1 to 2 Cucumbers
- 1 to 2 Tomatoes
- 1/2 Lettuce
- 1/2 of a carrot Julienned carrot
- 4 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 2 tbsp Finely chopped green onion
- 1 clove Grated garlic
- 1 tsp Grated ginger
- 1 tbsp Toasted white sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp Sesame oil
- 4 tbsp Mango puree
- Prepare the yakiniku sauce.
- Mix all the ingredients together.
- The mango puree is made by processing a canned or very ripe mango in a food processor until smooth.
- You can use sugar or honey instead; don't forget to give it taste and adjust the amount.
- You can use grated apple or Asian pear instead.
- Cut the cucumber and tomato into chunks.
- Slice the carrot very thinly with a slicer.
- Tear up the lettuce into easy to eat pieces.
- Stir fry the beef with a little oil, add the combined yakiniku sauce and simmer until cooked.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Just before serving, put the meat and sauce in the pan over the vegetables (adjust the sauce to taste) and serve.
- Mix well before eating.
