One Egg Cake

• 2 cups Soft Silk flour
• 1 34 cups sugar
• 2 12 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 13 cup shortening
• 1 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 egg

1. Heat oven to 350.
2. Grease and flour two 8" round cake pans.
3. Blend flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
4. Add shortening, 2/3 cup milk and vanilla.
5. Beat 2 minutes.
6. Add remaining milk and egg.
7. Beat 2 more minutes.
8. Pour into pans and bake 30 minutes.
