Broiled Tuna Steaks With Honey Almond Sauce Recipe
- 1 1/2 lb tuna steaks
- 3 Tbsp. lime juice
- 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/3 c. almonds slivered
- Place tuna steaks in a single layer in a shallow dish.
- Combine lime juice, extra virgin olive oil, honey, soy sauce, ginger and cinnamon and mix well.
- Pour mix over fish and cover.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hrs, turning the tuna steaks once.
- Remove fish and reserve marinade for basting.
- Place fish in a broiler pan or possibly dish and broil about 4 inches from the heat source for 3 min.
- Baste fish and broil 2 min longer.
- Turn steaks and baste.
- Cook for 3 more min, baste and place slivered almonds on top of the tuna steaks.
- Cook for 2 to 3 min more or possibly till tuna begins to flake.
- Don't overcook.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
