Meat And Cabbage Rolls Recipe

  1. Cook rice in 1 1/4 c. lowfat milk over low heat till fluffy.
  2. Remove cabbage leaves from head and immerse in boiling, salted water; cook till partially translucent/soft and pliable: drain.
  3. Combine meats with 1 c. lowfat milk, salt, pepper and rice; mix thoroughly.
  4. Spoon meat mix on each leaf; roll and tie.
  5. Brown rolls in warm fat; sprinkle with brown sugar; add in water; cover and cook slowly about 2 hrs.
  6. Thicken broth for gravy.
  7. Makes 6 servings.
