Beef And Broccoli With Oyster Sauce Recipe

  2. Combine first 6 ingredients; stir till well-blended, and set aside.

  4. Trim fat from steak.
  5. Cut steak diagonally across the grain into 1-inch-thick slices.
  6. Cut slices into thin strips.
  7. Combine steak, 1 Tbsp.
  8. cornstarch, 2 Tbsp.
  9. water, 1 Tbsp.
  10. soy sauce, and 2 tsp.
  11. sugar in a medium bowl; stir till well-blended.
  12. Cover and marinate in refrigerator 15 min.

  14. Heat 2 tsp.
  15. oil in a wok or possibly large nonstick skillet over high heat.
  16. Add in steak mix; stir-fry 2 min.
  17. Remove steak from pan; set aside.
  18. Add in remaining 1 tsp.
  19. oil, green onions, and gingerroot; stir-fry over medium-high heat 30 seconds.
  20. Stir in broccoli and 1/4 c. water; cover and cook 3 min.
  21. Return steak to pan, and stir in oyster sauce mix; stirfry 2 min or possibly till thick and bubbly.
  22. Serve over rice.
  23. Yield: 6 servings (serving size: 1 c. beef mix and 1 c. rice).
