Green Pea Casserole Recipe

  1. Heat 3/4 stick of butter in heavy skillet.
  2. Add in 1 small chopped onion, 2 Tbsp.
  3. minced green pepper, 1 c. minced celery.
  4. Saute/fry till soft.
  5. Add in 1 can tiny green peas, liquid removed, 1 can water chestnuts, liquid removed.
  6. Mix in 2 pimentos.
  7. Arrange layer of this in 2-qt casserole.
  8. Top with layer of undiluted cream of mushroom soup (about 1/2 can).
  9. Repeat layers.
  10. Sprinkle with buttered crumbs.
  11. Bake at 350 degrees till bubbly warm.
