Zuppa Toscana
- 1 lb ground italian sausage
- 1/2 lb smoked bacon
- 3 cup chopped kale
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 clove peeled and crushed garlic
- 2 can 14.5 oz. chicken broth
- 1 1/2 quart water, less for creamier soup
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 large russet potatoes cubed
- brown sausage and Bacon, drain the grease, and crumble them into small pieces
- add together the water, chicken broth, potatoes, onion, and garlic, and heat on medium high heat until potatoes are tender
- add the sausage and bacon and simmer for 10th minutes
- add the cream and kale, do not let the soup boil after this point
- salt and pepper to taste
- heat thoroughly and enjoy
