Sausages With Fried Apples Recipe
- 1 pound sausages
- 4 to 5 slices bacon
- 6 to 8 red apples
- Brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Fry the sausages slowly till done and set aside.
- Where they will keep warm.
- Dice the bacon, and cook it lightly, not crisp, in another large skillet.
- Core the apples and dice them, including the red skins.
- Add in to the bacon, sweetening the apples to taste with brown sugar and stirring in the cinnamon.
- Cover and cook slowly for about 20 min.
- Remove the cover and brown the apples, turning them constantly to prevent sticking for 10 to 15 min.
- Serve on a warm platter, surrounded by the warm sausages.
- Serves 4.
