Fruit Sauce for Ham

  1. Place fat in top of double boiler and melt if necessary.
  2. Add the flour and blend.
  3. Combine the water, orange juice and sugar and add very slowly to the fat-flour mixture.
  4. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens and add the raisins.
  5. Simmer for 15 minutes and stir frequently.
  6. Remove from the heat and add orange and lemon peel.
  7. Serve hot in a little crock or pitcher to use with ham slices.
