Shortnin Bread Cookies

• 2 cup butter
• 4 cup all purpose flour
• 1 cup brown sugar, packed

1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour and sugar; cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
3. Pat dough 1/2 inch thick on lightly floured surface.
4. Cut with floured 1 1/2 inch cookie cutters.
5. Bake on UNGREASED cookie sheets at 350F for about 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned around edges.
6. Cool on wire cooling racks.
