Buffalo Fried Goat Cheese

  2. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan.
  3. Cut 1/2 slices from the goat cheese log .
  4. Roll into 1 balls by hand.

  6. Lightly beat eggs in a small bowl.
  7. Fill a plate or shallow bowl with the breadcrumbs.
  8. Dip the goat cheese ball in the egg wash first.
  9. Roll it around so it is completely covered.
  10. Then drop them into the panko breadcrumbs.
  11. Toss the breadcrumbs onto the ball and gently roll to coat.
  12. Repeat with the egg wash and breadcrumbs for the same ball.
  13. This way they are well coated.

  15. When oil is ready (it bubbles when a crumb is dropped into the oil), drop the balls in.
  16. The trick to cooking them is to keep them moving.
  17. Dont let them sit on one side for too long or the cheese will start to escape.
  18. Use a metal slotted spoon to move them around the pan so all sides fry equally.
  19. Cook for no longer than 3 minutes each.
  20. Remove to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb some of the grease.

  22. Toss in the hot sauce.
  23. Serve on a bed of fresh greens.
