Fava (Lima) Beans With Mushrooms
- 2 cups prepared fava beans (Membrane removed)
- 34 cup fresh mushrooms, chopped
- 12 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- salt & pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter (margerine)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 6 tablespoons dry white wine or 6 tablespoons apple juice
- Melt the butter & olive oil in a skillet large enough to hold the beans & mushrooms in a single or at most, double layer.
- Add prepared beans, mushrooms, Chili & wine (juice).
- Season with salt & Pepper.
- Cover and simmer for apprx 10 minutes or until the beans are tender.
- timing depends on the size of the beans.
