Banana Toffee And Pear Crumble Recipe

  1. Place the pears in a saucepan with 1 tbsp sugar and I tbsp lemon juice.
  2. Cook covered for 510 min till just tender.
  3. Remove the lid and continue cooking for 23 min.
  4. Place the bananas in an oven dish.
  5. Top with the toffee spreading all over.
  6. Tip over the pears and any juices.
  7. Place the flour in a bowl rub in the butter then stir in the oats nuts and remaining sugar.
  8. Add in the oil and combine well.
  9. Tip this over the pears and press down gendy.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven (200C/400F/Gas Mark 6) for about 45 min till golden.
  11. Leave for at least 10 min then serve hot with oodles of custard.
  12. Argentinian dulce de leche is imported by Merchant Gourmet and is available in selected Sainsburys Tesco and Waitrose.
  13. Alternatively boil an unopened can of condensed lowfat milk for 2 1/2 3 hrs.
  14. Serves 6
