Chef-Boy-I-Be-Illinois' Zucchinisuppe (German Zucchini Soup)

  1. Saute sausage slices and onion until fat renders and slices are nicely browned.
  2. You could also use a pound of ground sausage in place of links, just drain the extra grease.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes
  4. May add cooked pasta if desired.
