Baked Chicken That Makes It's Own Gravy Recipe
- 3 1/2 lb Frying Chicken Pcs
- 1/4 c. Flour
- 1/4 c. Melted Butter
- 2/3 c. Undiluted Carnation Evaporated Lowfat milk
- 1 can (10 3/4 ounce)Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 c. (4 ounce) Grated Process American Cheese
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/8 tsp Pepper
- 2 c. (1-lb) Liquid removed Whole Onions
- 1/4 lb Sliced Mushrooms
- 1 dsh Paprika
- Coat chicken with flour.
- Arrange chicken in single layer with skin down in melted butter in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
- Bake uncovered in 425 degree oven for 30 min.
- Turn chicken, bake till brown, 15 to 20 min longer, till tender.
- Remove from oven and reduce temperature to 325 degrees.
- Pour off excess fat.
- Combine evaporated lowfat milk, soup, cheese, salt and pepper.
- Add in onions and mushrooms to chicken.
- Pour soup mix over chicken.
- Sprinkle with paprika.
- Cover dish with foil.
- Return to oven for 15 to 20 min.
