Homemade Chinese Sesame Paste

  1. Dry roast the sesame seeds until they become fragrant.
  2. Grind the sesame seeds using a mortar and pestle for about 10 minutes.
  3. Heat both the vegetable and sesame oil until smoke begins to rise from the pan.
  4. Add the oil to the mortar, bit by bit.
  5. Continue to grind the sesame seeds until they form a smooth paste.
  6. Little by little, pour in the oil and grind for about 5 minutes.
  7. When the mixture becomes glossy, it's finished.
  8. Bang Bang Chicken over chilled noodles!.
  9. Chilled Tan Tan Noodles!.
