Spiced Fruit

  1. In a medium saucepan, stir together the brown sugar, sauterne, vinegar, cloves, and curry powder.
  2. Add the cinnamon sticks.
  3. Cook over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes, or until heated through, stirring frequently.
  4. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, stir together the remaining ingredients.
  5. Pour the hot syrup over the fruit.
  6. Stir well.
  7. Let cool at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for 8 to 24 hours.
  9. Discard the cloves and cinnamon sticks before serving the fruit.
